Poem:
Awakening ~ Spring Equinox
As the Earth awakens, so do we—
a slow unfurling, a breath held and released,
the hush before the bloom.
We stand in the balance of day and night,
a threshold neither here nor there,
but in the space between,
where becoming hums beneath the skin.
Letting the cloak of the old drop,
the weight of what was pooling at our feet,
we shed the past,
not in haste, not in regret,
but with reverence for all it carried us through.
Welcoming and awakening to the new,
may I have gratitude for the becoming
ever before it arrives,
a bow to the unseen roots,
the quiet work of emergence.
Trusting the process of growth,
its exquisite journey—
from seed to tree,
from thought to form,
from yearning to the outstretched hands of action.
As the light returns, I am rooted,
rising and radiant,
the sky wide enough to hold all that I am becoming.
